We have a great choice of acrylic panels to complete your neon sign, with various colours and finishes available upon request. Discover more about our acrylic panel backings here.
Get In TouchA clear acrylic panel is a great choice if you are locating the neon sign on a wall, and you would like to see the wall through the panel. For example, if it is brick, or you have the walls painted a particular colour, or decorated using a certain wallpaper that you would like to remain visible.
This is also a popular choice if you are a business hanging the sign in a window, as it does not block the light coming through the window. The transformer will usually be fitted onto the back of the panel, so will be visible, but we can discuss options with you if you would rather not have the transformer on the back.
A satin black acrylic panel gives a more retro feel to a neon sign, with the contrast between the brightly coloured neon and the black backing creating a real pop of colour.
It also provides a great option if you would like the transformer and wiring to be hidden, as this can all be done behind the panel. You can even get a plug socket installed directly behind the panel if you don’t wish to see a mains lead.
We can also supply in gloss black if you would like the neon tubes to be more reflective against the black acrylic.
A satin white panel provides a more contemporary, and slightly softer feel to your neon sign.
It also provides a great option if you would like the transformer and wiring to be hidden, as this can all be done behind the panel. You can even get a plug socket installed directly behind the panel if you don’t wish to see a mains lead.
We can also supply in gloss white if you would like the neon tubes to be more reflective against the white acrylic.
Available in clear, satin black, or satin white, we can cut your panel to the shape of the neon, just to make the backing a little more discreet.
This is a particularly popular option when fitting the neon onto a flower wall, or other artificial foliage. The cut-out shape also helps to add another dimension to the neon sign.
As with our rectangular or square panels, other acrylic colours and finishes are available on request.
We are able to provide flat bases for panels, depending on the overall size, for when fitting to the wall, or hanging from chain isn’t an option. For example, you may wish to stand the panel on a shelf or a cabinet.
A base gives the added security that the neon sign won’t slip.
If you are looking for that added protection of having the neon tubes covered, but still want the transformer and wiring hidden behind a black or white panel, then a sandwich panel would be the option to go for.
These can be square, rectangular, or cut to shape.
