First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone from all here at Neon Creations! We hope you had an enjoyable day of unwrapping presents, mountains of festive food and drink, and reminiscing years gone by with loved ones – we certainly did!
Hopefully, many of you aren’t suffering from hangovers today, but if you are, then our food-related neons aim to wet your appetite and ease you in to your recovery process for the day (we promise to be subtle, so as to ensure it doesn’t tip you over the edge…). Let’s imagine this as a timeline from waking up with a horrendous feeling that’s equal to that suffered by the guys in the blockbuster film, to returning back to feeling your regular sprightly self and scoffing all of yesterdays leftovers.
So, you’ve just woken up and begun reading this post. Consuming any form of food is far from your thoughts, and you’d prefer to limit your brain activity (for the time being at least) to minimise the effects of the side-splitting headache that currently occupies your mind. First things first, you need a…
Step 1
Grab yourself a coffee, divert your attentions from trying to deduce what happened last night and simply relax in bed with these range of eye-catching neon signs that we have created for food/drink establishments (just to get you thinking about places you can buy food first). Note: Just to quash any concern, none of these actually contain any reference to food in itself – baby steps first!
Abundantly stationed throughout the US, diner’s have become extremely popular in the UK over the past 10 years or so and this growing industry demonstrates many signs of similarity through advertising techniques. The nostalgic use of neon for diner signs is a very “American” method of attracting customers into establishments by illuminating the surrounding darkness, particularly for those that are situated amongst the many desolate and forgotten highways.
Swiftly moving on, by this time one would hope that the earlier coffee has begun to provide you with enough energy to show some form of life at least!
Step 2
Get out of bed, grab a shower and start to think about what you feel you may be able to handle at this stage. If you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for, then maybe we could provide you with a little…
Or alternatively, if you can’t manage food yet, then perhaps consider products from…
It’s important to have something stodgy to fill your stomach; big breakfasts, shakes, potentially even yesterday’s leftovers could be a good starting point. However, eating food may still be a little bit ominous. Want our recommendation? How about some sweet, light, frothy and chilled…
We’re so considerate, that to limit the noise levels and prevent any further headache pain (see below), we’ll even provide the sound effects for you whilst you’re guzzling away…
Going off that as a benchmark, we’ll go one step further and read your mind as you savour the milky goodness…
Assuming that you’ve managed to keep liquids down and that enough time has surpassed to gently brace you for the challenge of eating.
Step 3
Indicates the time to decide on what you want (or can actually manage) to…
If the time is right for you, then we’d like to wish you…
If we was to be in charge of your hangover menu, then our recommendation for lunch time would be a…
…simply because everyone should…
Following a pie for dinner, we envisage that it’s more likely than not that you will have enough energy or care to cook anything. Therefore, our
Step 4
Is to eat out. A Chinese take away would be our preferred dinner time meal, perhaps consisting of…
…in addition to a some individual portions of…
…just to make sure that there is plenty to go around!
We’d come to expect that you’re now rather full following a large recovery dinner and you’re now dreaming of slobbing out on the sofa in front of the TV for the night. In fairness, we couldn’t imagine anything more appealing either, except if this ultimate relaxation process contained some Ice Cream!
So, in light of this, our
Step 5
Would be to finish the day with something sweet. After all, you’ve earned it and it’s time to treat yourself for all the hard work of recovering from a stinking hangover.
Hopefully our Neon guide to curing your Boxing Day hangover has been somewhat insightful and you’re now feeling much better. Well, at least enough to get back on the booze tonight, considering that it’s the weekend tomorrow!
Have a great festive season everyone and we hope that you have enjoyed our post.
